Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif, one of the most sought after Actress in Tinsel town today, debuted with a bang “Boom” in 2003 in Bollywood. Although the movie couldn't do well at the Box-Office, it was enough for Film makers to notice her charismatic & dazzling face.

She was born in Hong Kong to a Kashmiri Muslim Father, Mohammad Kaif and a British Christian mother Suzzane Turquotte on 16th July'1984. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother's country England. She has seven siblings.

Katrina commenced a career in modelling at the age of fourteen years in London, and did campaigns for houses like La Senza and Arcadius and even walked on the London Fashion week. In the interim of her stint at modelling in London, she got noticed by the London based film-maker Kaizad Gustad who offered her break in Bollywood with “Boom”. Subsequentialy she got numerous modelling assignments in India but film makers were hesitant to cast her in view of her British accentuation and debilitated Hindi. However, in a short span of time she worked hard on her Hindi and piped down all Critics over the years.

It was in the year 2005 that Katrina's entry in Bollywood was acknowledged and appreciated as she got successful with two of her movies, Sarkar and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya in that year that caught her the Stardust Talent Award for the year. In 2007 Katrina breezed in the hit movie Namastey London, wherein she starred as a British-Indian girl alongside Akshay Kumar for the second time after the box office dud Humko Deewana Kar gaye(2006). Since then, she has appeared in a series of box office hits that include Apne, Partner and Welcome.

2008 saw her in a brand new avatar playing a negative role in Abbas Mustan's Race, which did well at the Box Office. The same year got the hang of one of the biggest hits at the box-office Singh is King where she paired opposite Akshay Kumar. The year 2009 started with the release of New York where she was paired opposite John Abraham. The movie amassed her immense critical acclaim.

Her talent has been reaching new heights of success with every step of her career. In 2008, she was voted as the Most sexiest women and also was the most searched celebrity on Google. In addition to Hindi movies she has also delivered in a number of South Indian films. She has done two Telugu movies - Malliswari(2004) and Allari Pidugu(2005) and a Malayalam film (Balram vs. Taradas).

Commercials and Brand endorsements are always in awe of her serene beauty and capturing face. She is the Brand Ambassador of some of the most prestigious brands like Nakshatra, Spice, and was also the chosen face of “Lakme India Fashion week” 2005. She replaced Aishwarya Bachchan to endorse Nakshatra and Sushmita Sen for Pantene. She is also the chosen face for “Barbie” the international doll brand, which was speculated to be that of Aishwarya.

With Katrina getting the dues for her talent, she is no short of being termed as the “Reigning Queen of Bollywood”.

Prachi Rocks!

If you are really talented the world will recognize your skills some day. Something like that happened with this Indian actress Prachi Desai. She had a passion for acting because she had seen her father and uncle acting in the Gujarati plays. Prachi soon joined a small modelling workshop and continued her studies. She also sent her portfolio to Balaji Telefilms and luckily got a call for the tele serial Kasamh Se. She was only seventeen when she got this call.

Prachi's role in Kasamh Se brought her a lot of appreciation. She played the role of Bani Walia in this serial. The serial was telecast on Zee TV. Prachi is the endorser, spokesperson, brand ambassador and the face of Neutrogena products in India. This Indian actress was born in Gujarat. She also studied at Panchgani before leaving for Pune. Soon Prachi got the offer of working in the bollywood movie Rock On. She successfully played the role of Farhan Akhtar's wife. For this role she had to leave her television role of Bani Walia.

Prachi's next movie is Life Partner. She is a talented actress and as she has gone through the experience of television acting so she knows what struggle means. She will soon find her place in bollywood which takes a little longer to identify the true talents!

Vidya Sinha



Very talented actress of bollywood guess who she is well she is Vidya Sinha as she knocked the doors of bollywood with the movie Rajnigandha, she was born on 15 November 1947, in Mumbai, she started doing modelling at an early age of 18th, in fact she steeped into acting from the same age, Vidya's first movie was Raja Kaka where she was opposite Kiran Kumar. But her super duper outcome was Rajnigandha directed by Basu Chatterjee.

After that she performed in so many movies basically of art houses like Choti Si Baat (1975), followe4d by Pati Patni Aur Woh in the year 1977 that was bigger bollywood production, well Vidya belongs to a humble family, her father's name was S. Maan Singh, who was an assistant director.In later eighties she quit the industry to bring up her daughter Janhavi .

She had a comeback after the sad demise of her husband Venkateshwaran Iyer (1968-1996), then she performed in so many T.V serials like Bahu Rani (2000), in the year 2004 with Kavyanjali , then she tied a knot with Netaji Salunkhe, he is a doctor based in Australia, they met on internet, and they living in Versova, India. But in the year 2009 she made a complaint against her husband blaming him for a torture. Presently Vidya is doing T.V serials like Bhabhi and Zaara.
