Dia Mirza was born on 9 December 1981 in Hyderabad, she struggled a lot from her childhood, but finally she got the success after facing from some much problem from childhood. Her father Frank Handrick, he was a German Interior Designer, but her parents got separated when she was six and her father died when she nine and her mother remarried to a Muslim man Ahmed Mirza. She adopted her second father's surname.
Dia has completed her graduation in Arts by correspondence,but she has decided to postpone her graduation because of juggle between the Miss Asia Pacific Competition and her modelling assignments.after that she has participated in Miss India contest in which she stood second runner-up and won three titles Miss Pacific-Asia, Sony Viewer Choice and Miss beautiful smile. She went to be crowned Miss Asia Pacific in the year 2000 at Manila .
She has worked with many good directors and actors also, she has done Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein,Deewaanpan, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and many more.
