Deepa Sahi

She is a talented actress of Bollywod, yes she is Deepa Sahi popularly known as Maya Memsaahab, Deepa is producer as well, she belongs to Deharadun although her family later shifted to Canada but she decided to continue hr work in India, she has done theatre and it contributes a lot in making her a brilliant actress.

Deepa Sahi is an alumnus of National School of Drama, from Delhi and she was associated with strong Leftist leanings and Social Activism that forms a core value of the productions , Deepa knocked the doors of bollywood with the movie Party in the year 1984 a Govind Nihalani film. She was welcomed heartily.

In 1985 Deepa came out with Aghaat she has always performed the roles of a woman with very independent mind, in fact her milestone role was of lower-caste Punjabi woman in movie Tamas was highly acclaimed, she has produced the films like:

Deepa has tied knot with Ketan Mehta, and she has got Filmfare Best Supporting Actress nomination for movie Hum alonf with National Award(Jury) for Maya Memsaab.
